Hi, Hoping someone can offer some advice on the following - first reel ride (250kms) on my RZ350 since being rebuilt. Have also posted this on the RD/RZ forum but appreciate any local knowledge / advice. A mate along with me said the following: - the left hand pipe would emit a small amount of smoke during steady cruising at 100 km/h - amount became less & less as the kms ticked on but still a small amount at the end of the ride. - More smoke out of the left pipe than right when revved into the powerband - at each stop the left hand pipe was wet & oily - right hand pipe clean & dry Bike seemed to run very well but it's the first real ride for me on a 2-stroke in many years. Am running the new engine in so was mainly taking it gently, though towards the end was revving it to 7500rpm. Bike has new crank, pistons, PV's etc. I cleaned out the carbs before refitting and reset the float heights (which I'm fairly confident I did correctly but I did find it a little confusing). Engine is std apart from new fibre reeds. All carb settings are std including main jets at 240's. I didn't clean out the std pipes before fitting , but did fit new baffles. The engine was toast when I brought it so could it be just excess oil in the left land pipe or is it something to do with the choke system? Haven't chekced the plugs yet (just arrived home) but I assume they'll mirror the pipes if it's a choke / carb balance / setting issues? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. References: www.perthstreetbikes.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106617Gadget Animation
